It is NOT just about fellowship and bible study.
It’s also about what Jesus came to do.
He came to redeem all that were lost.
Are we following after Him, or after the things that influence us, or after the things that we desire?

We (Vision Tea Comm) are raising funds for this welcome tea. For financial support, feel free to give to any staff @ Crusade Corner from 11-13 August.

but well, it’s a brand new year and so here i am again with new updates. this semester @school, many major things are taking place and we sincerely invite YOU to be a part of it!

Remember the reality TV show SURVIVOR?
We’ll be holding our very own SURVIVOR @NUS! Of course not the game itself, but a series of talks for freshmen, on how to cope with studies in school. Study tips will be provided for all the core modules!
Date - 21 Aug (Tue)
Chemistry - 6pm at LT25
Life Sciences - 6pm at LT28
Medicine - 4:30pm at LT29
*Please also keep the organising committee in prayer as we go about sourcing for speakers for the event.

It will be happening on 14th Aug (Tuesday), 6-8pm, at LT 25.
Light refreshments will be provided at 5.45pm, so do come down early!
Our theme this year is ‘THE CHOSEN GENERATION‘, and we are claiming
1 Peter 2:9-10 as our theme verse:
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
Come join us in a time of worship, games, videos, and of course lots of fellowship and fun! In addition, we will have a potluck dinner sponsored by our very own DGs.
Vision Tea 2007 will be one of the very first events of the academic year organized by the joint Medicine/Science ministry. It will be a wonderful opportunity for the Science and Medicine crusaders to meet and welcome one another into the new school year. After all, we are one family in Crusade, and in Christ!
So come on down to catch hold of God’s vision; you won’t want to miss it!

Matriculation packing this year was a huge success! Some 30 over crusaders gathered at GCTC’s Training Room to pack 7200 matriculation packs! Despite the printing problem encountered during the earlier part of the day, we managed to complete packing by about 4pm in the afternoon. Praise the Lord for providing the printing service which helped us print the remaining thousands of brochures we needed to pack! Yay! Here’s a couple of pictures, for more pictures, head here.

After a long, fruitful summer holiday, it’s time to go back to school again! What better way to kick-start the school year than to participate in Crusade’s freshmen orientation project – Blastoff Camp! The camp concluded last week and here’s one of our ma ny photos!

Oh yes! I forgot to add. From this semester onwards, we welcome our brothers and sisters from the Medicine Ministry to join us to form one big family in the Med/Sci region! *round of applause*
In other news, the next events’ coming up -
1. Matriculation
Seniors, please listen up! Everyone is encouraged to sign up for 3 slots for matriculation and all SMs are encouraged to take on 5 slots. Do come join us to bless the freshmen during the 4 days of matriculation ok! (To sign up, please contact Zhiliang!)
2. Matriculation Packing
This coming Monday, 23rd July from 9am to 6pm at GCTC, we need MANPOWER to help us pack the blessing-packs for the freshmen for matriculation! So crusaders, if you have the time, do pop by GCTC and lend us your hands, ok?
3. CORS Bidding
Yes, it’s that-time-of-the-year again, time to BID for our modules! I am sure the seniors know the drill well by now, but for the freshmen, it will be your first-time bidding for modules! So listen up! On the 2nd, 6th and 7th August, we will be setting up an area where you can come bid for your modules. Feel free to use this chance to learn how to bid, find out from seniors more about your course of study, find out which modules are good to take and even just to find out more about CCC.
